Kim Vu. Senior Exec | Board Member | DEI Champion

A fierce advocate for authenticity and inclusion, Kim is a leader whose presence commands both purpose and perspective. With a background in financial services and a commitment to empowering others, especially women of color, she brings intention to every room she enters. Whether it's shaping culture in the workplace or evolving her personal style to reflect her voice, she believes in doing work that feels grounded and real. Her mission? To show up fully—as herself—and inspire others to do the same.

Excerpts from a coffee chat with her:

ON DOING HER BEST WORK

"I think when I'm doing my best work is when I'm at a place where I feel I am grounded and my voice feels very authentic and real, and I'm seeking my truth."

ON A RISK WORTH TAKING

Speaking your truth at work might be risky, she says—but it's also necessary. "The best ways for us to be able to create the best cultures, deliver the best solutions for our employees, our customers, and the communities we serve, is to provide unique perspectives and opinions. We need those things in the workplace in order to really thrive as businesses."

ON A PIVOTAL MOMENT

One defining memory? The women who lifted her up. "The most meaningful moments have been when women support other women—providing opportunities for growth, for promotion, for investing in women like myself. Women who mentored, sponsored, and opened doors so I could pivot into new roles and thrive."

ON PERSONAL STYLE AT WORK

"My personal style at work has definitely evolved." Coming from finance, she navigated a traditionally structured environment—but made it her own. "I introduced color, patterns, prints, fun accessories—ways to reflect my personality while still showing up professionally. You don’t need to change who you are to serve others. Especially as women of color in business, we need to hold on to what makes us ourselves. We need people who look and sound different in those positions of power."

ON HER NEXT COFFEE CHAT

"I've had such a great conversation with Aditi. I'd love to have another coffee with her and talk more about the business and her passion for fashion and for creating clothes that make sense for women."
